One thing I love about New York City..

is how you turn the corner and the neighborhood will completely change. One block you'll be strolling along a street lined with high-end stores in Soho, then the next you'll be fighting a crowd of tourists buying $2 'I heart NY' shirts in Chinatown. People often ask me what my favorite thing to do in the city is. My answer hasn't changed yet. I love walking around. I love running into well-known or historical sites, spotting famous places and seeing all those little deli's on the corner that have most likely been run by the old guy standing outside of it for years now. It just doesn't get old!

Had dessert at Cafe Lalo last night. This is where Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks met up in You've Got Mail. A fave place of mine so far.
St. John the Divine Cathedral. Didn't realize until this afternoon that the worlds largest cathedral is only 6 blocks away from my apartment. It's pretty awesome inside.
Riverside Park. New Jersey is right there on the other side of the river...so close.

Love it here.

I thought that top picture looked familiar! You've Got Mail is one of my favorite chic flicks! What a fun little find!

I too recognized the restaurant, fun! I'm so glad you continue to go out and walk and find new things. Rather than just get stuck on a few of the same good finds you're making the rounds to them all. Wish I could come explore with you....sigh...

That cathedral looks cool-maybe we can put that on the to-do list for me.
