Taxi's are everywhere here. Ya they cause traffic and non-stop honking--but on a rainy day or at 3 in the morning, they are very convenient. I was curious to see the actual number of yellow cabs that prowl the streets of NYC...so I looked it up. In 1907, 65 taxis serviced the city. In 2006, the number was at 12,779. Crazy.

I love hailing a cab.

Oh the rides in taxis. They are crazy drivers! My mom hates riding in them - it's like a rollercoaster ride! Miss them.
I never got to ride in one while I was in NYC. I wish I would have since you see it done in all of the movies shot there. I am sure it is an adventure!
