Early June: Went to a UPS store and got my fingerprints done by a guy who was certified to do so. Shipped my fingerprints, money order and a written statement over to the FBI in Clarksburg, WV.
July 11: Found out my fingerprints were not approved due to "unclassifiable prints". This meant I would have to start the process all over again. The process takes a month or so and I had an August 13th deadline to get all my documents into the MTC. I called the MTC Travel office and they couldn't help me out a ton. They did tell me there may be a chance of having my report date delayed 5-6 weeks if I didn't get everything in on time. Ugh. I was totally bummed and frusturated.
July 13: Went out to a place in Mesa to have my prints taken (did NOT want to risk it by going back to the little UPS store again--however, I did go get my money back). I express mailed 2 sets of prints and a new written statement hoping somehow it'd all work out.
Today: At work. Recieved a text from my sibling saying a package from the FBI came. I called a-sap only to find that my prints were once again rejected. Seriously, I was like DEVASTATED. This meant I most likely wouldn't be reporting to the MTC on September 2 and wondered if my mission would be reassigned. I called my Mom in tears explaining the situation to her and making a plan of action on how to get another set of prints in fast. I was just about to leave the office and head to downtown Phoenix to be fingerprinted for the third time when another sibling calls and tells me my fingerprints actually DID PASS and that whoever read it the first time must have read the old FBI statement and didn't notice the new one.
RELIEF!!
Oh the joys of trying to get into another country! I am seriously so BG that everything worked out. Keep your fingers crossed that everything from here on out goes smoothly. 40 DAYS TIL I REPORT!

I'm so GLAD that they passed. It would be so sad if you had to wait longer to go and got reassigned to somewhere else!
Good Job for the sibling who read them correctly! :)))
ah that scared me at first! so so glad everything is going smoothly. so exciting shauna!!
BG? What the heck does this mean?...You scared me there! I'm so glad everything is working out - you are in the Lord's hands! :)
Very BG indeed! My heart just sank there for awhile for you. Glad sibling #1 mentioned was mistaken and that you are well on your way to Paraguay!
I'm so glad your things are working out! That would be so stressful! Goodluck with everything, don't worry Someone really wants you to go on a mission and I don't think He will let the FBI get in His way!
I like how you selectively chose to leave out "the siblings" names! :) Ha. I would have been a wreck! Hope it all works out.
Wow, what a mess! haha, but of course, everything will work out! :) 40 days is nothing, yikes Shauna. Are you ready!?
