So last night I went on a little date.

He picked me up on his mo-ped and we scootered our

way down to Zupas for a tasty dinner.

The weather was great, the scooter ride was fun

and he even let me take the scooter

for a spin by myself and trusted me enough to drive us both home.

A little scary, but way fun.

Anyways....so we pull up to my place and I get off the scooter.

He stays seated on the scooter and I'm standing a

few feet away and we're just talking.

Now this guy and I have been friends for a while.....

so at this point I was thinking do I give him a hug? Do nothing?

It was kind of a hard situation since he was sitting on the

scooter with both hands on the handlebars....
so I was like ''Well, thanks again for dinner and I'll see you later''...

and before I knew it we were giving each other a high-five.
How awkward is that?!?!

What's even more awkward is that I'm the one who initiated it!

And that him and I were both at the same FHE dating panel activity

this past Monday where they mentioned high-5's and handshakes as a no-go.

Just to clarify, I had NEVER given a high-5 on a date before.
I turned away to walk into my house and immediately

thought ''Oh my gosh, did that really just happen? That is so unlike me...

I wonder if he even really noticed?....How weird....".

I don't know if the high-5 came out because there was a

scooter interfering or what the deal was...but oh well! It happened.

And definitely makes for a funny story.
