I never learned how to make pie when I was younger. I remember watching my mom make them as I would sit there and steal small pieces of the dough when she wasn't looking--but that was the extent of my pie making :)

Well this past weekend, I made my first pie. The bf sliced the apples and made the filling while I made the crust. I have to admit, I was slightly intimidated to make it at first but it turned out pretty good. Actually, with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on the side, it totally hit the spot.

On another note...we went on our third snowboarding adventure at Brighton this past Friday night. I'm finally learning how to carve back and forth. Had a few good falls but it was worth it. I love it up there in the mountains. So fun.

Also, Christine and I hosted a Bridal Shower brunch at our place on Saturday morning for our good friend, Katie. It was just a small group of us girls and we had a blast as we sat there eating crepes and talking for a few hours. I'm so grateful for good friends and long chats.

Why do weekends have to end??!?!
