ENGAGED!!

After catching a red-eye flight, Tom and I arrived in Boston this past Thursday morning. We met up with his parents, ate at Mike’s Pastry for breakfast, then hit the streets. His parents went on some tour that afternoon, leaving Tom and I by ourselves to walk the charming, brick-filled streets of the city. We walked along the Charles River, up Newbury Street, and then made our way to the Boston Public Garden- a beautiful park right in the middle of the city. We were making a loop around the park when all the sudden he pulled me off the sidewalk and said ‘’Hey, I have something for you’’. I was wondering what he could possibly have for me and was totally oblivious to what was going on. But before I knew it, he was reaching into his right pocket and was down on one knee! I was semi-freaking out at this point (in an excited/happy way of course) as he began to say some super nice things and then asked
''Shauna Sargent, will you marry me?"
Tom is the absolute best, and I can't wait until September 25 to be Mrs. Tom Gilbert!
